The Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India, in association with the Committee on Insolvency & Bankruptcy Code, Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), released a publication titled “Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) on Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016”, during the 72nd Annual Function of ICAI on February 4, 2022.

The publication is the revised, enriched version of the publication released by ICAI in 2017, with a view to create awareness and disseminate knowledge about the Code, in easy-to-understand FAQs format. The revised edition covers the developments in the Code and subordinate legislation during the period. It also presents thematic, topic wise jurisprudence for comprehensive understanding of the legal position with respect to various issues under the Code. The book is expected to provide useful guidance to the professionals and other stakeholders of the IBC ecosystem for clear interpretation and enhanced understanding of the insolvency law.
3. The event was graced by the Chief Guest Dr. Bhagwat Kishanrao Karad, Hon’ble Minister of State for Finance, Government of India; CA. Nihar N. Jambusaria, President, ICAI; and CA. (Dr.) Debashis Mitra, Vice-President, ICAI among others. Dr. Navrang Saini, Chairperson, IBBI in his message, highlighted the evolving nature of jurisprudence of the Code and appreciated the contribution of ICAI and its members in the same. He commented that the insolvency professionals, prospective insolvency professionals and other stakeholders including researchers and students of insolvency and bankruptcy would find this book immensely useful.
