PRESS RELEASE<\/span><\/p>\n

Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board has been providing <\/span>following online <\/span>services to the industries and the local bodies through its online application named <\/span>Online Consent Management and Monitoring Sy<\/span>stem (OCMMS) since January 2015:<\/span><\/p>\n

1.<\/span> Issue of Consent to Est<\/span>ablish, Consent to Operate and Renewal of Consent<\/span><\/p>\n

2.<\/span> Issue of Authorization and Renewal of authorization under Hazardous Waste <\/span>Management <\/span>Rules, <\/span>Biomedical <\/span>Waste <\/span>Management <\/span>Rules, <\/span>E<\/span>–<\/span>Waste <\/span>Management <\/span>Rules <\/span>and <\/span>issue <\/span>of <\/span>registration <\/span>under <\/span>Plastic <\/span>Waste <\/span>Managem<\/span>ent Rules.<\/span><\/p>\n

3.<\/span> Filing <\/span>of <\/span>Annual <\/span>Returns <\/span>under<\/span> Hazardous <\/span>Waste <\/span>Management <\/span>Rules, <\/span>Biomedical Waste Management Rules, Plastic Waste Management Rules, <\/span>E<\/span>–<\/span>Waste Management Rules and Solid Waste Management Rules.<\/span><\/p>\n

Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board <\/span> has <\/span>now <\/span>developed the online<\/span> application <\/span>for the following<\/span> services in the OCMMS platform for the industries, local bodies, <\/span>hazardous waste<\/span> importers<\/span>,<\/span> dealers and consumers of Lead acid batteries. <\/span> These <\/span>services have been operational<\/span>i<\/span>zed <\/span> from <\/span> 9<\/span>th<\/span> August, 2021 at<\/span> the website <\/span>ocmms.tn.gov.in.<\/span><\/p>\n

1.<\/span> Issue of authorization under Solid Waste Management Rules, 2016 <\/span>:<\/span><\/strong>
T<\/span>he local body<\/span> \/<\/span> agency appointed by them\/ operator of facility<\/span> can <\/span>apply for <\/span>authorization under the<\/span> Rule 15 (y) and can also submit the annual return <\/span>every year through this service.<\/span><\/p>\n

2.<\/span> Issue of authorization under the Construction and Demolition Waste <\/span>Management Rules, 2016<\/span> :<\/span><\/strong>
The operator of the facility as specified in <\/span>the Rules 7<\/span> (1) <\/span>can<\/span> apply in Form <\/span>I <\/span>for authorization<\/span> and can also submit the annual returns every year using this <\/span>service.<\/span><\/p>\n

3.<\/span> Issue of one time authorization for traders under Hazardous Waste <\/span>Management Rules<\/span> :<\/span><\/strong>
Traders who import other waste mentioned in Part D of Schedule III of <\/span>Hazardous and Other Wastes (Management and Transboundary Movement) <\/span>Rules, 2016 can make application for one time authorization through this <\/span>service.<\/span><\/p>\n

4.<\/span> Issue of registration for battery dea<\/span>lers under the Battery (Management <\/span>and <\/span>Handling) Rules 2001 as amended :<\/span><\/strong>
The dealers as defined under the Rules can apply for registration through this <\/span>service.<\/span><\/p>\n

5.<\/span> Filing of annual returns under the Battery (Management and Handling) <\/span>Rules 2001<\/span>:<\/span><\/strong>
Battery manu<\/span>facturer \/ bulk consumers \/ importers \/ recyclers \/ auctioneers <\/span>can submit the Annual returns to <\/span>Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board <\/span> through <\/span>this service.<\/span><\/p>\n

The <\/span>industries <\/span>can <\/span>use <\/span>of <\/span>the <\/span>above <\/span>services <\/span>online <\/span>from <\/span>16.08.2021 <\/span>onwards.<\/span><\/p>\n
