{"id":2979,"date":"2022-07-11T08:01:49","date_gmt":"2022-07-11T08:01:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/rvkassociates.com\/blog\/?p=2979"},"modified":"2022-07-11T08:01:51","modified_gmt":"2022-07-11T08:01:51","slug":"asian-clearing-union-acu-mechanism-indo-sri-lanka-trade","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rvks.in\/blogs\/asian-clearing-union-acu-mechanism-indo-sri-lanka-trade\/","title":{"rendered":"Asian Clearing Union (ACU) Mechanism \u2013 Indo-Sri Lanka trade"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-text-align-right\">July 08, 2022<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To<br>All Category-I Authorised Dealer Banks<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Madam\/Sir,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Attention of Authorised Dealer Category \u2013 I (AD Category-I) banks is invited to Regulations 3 and 5 of Foreign Exchange Management (Manner of Receipt and Payment) Regulations, 2016 in terms of which export \/ import transactions between ACU member countries are to be routed through the ACU mechanism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"2\" class=\"is-style-none wp-block-list\"><li>2. The extant provisions have been reviewed and in terms of clause b of sub-Regulation 2 of Regulation 3 and clause c of sub-Regulation 2 of Regulation 5 of Foreign Exchange Management (Manner of Receipt and Payment) Regulations, 2016, it has been decided that all eligible current account transactions including trade transactions with Sri Lanka may be settled in any permitted currency outside the ACU mechanism until further notice.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">3. The above instructions shall come into force with immediate effect. AD Category-I banks may bring the contents of this circular to the notice of their constituents concerned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">4.
